FLANK |
The side of any building. |

The end wall of a building, as distinguished from the front
or rear side. |

A board extending from the ridge to the eaves along
the slope of the gable, and forming a close junction between the
shingling of a roof and the side of the building beneath. |

A prop, as a timber, placed as a brace or support against
the side of a building or other structure; a prop placed beneath
anything, as a beam, to prevent it from sinking or sagging. |

To turn or tip (anything) over from an upright, or a
proper, position so that it lies upon its side or bottom upwards; to
upset; as, to overset a chair, a coach, a ship, or a building. |
