The relative length or duration of a tone or note, answering

CROTCHET |
A time note, with a stem, having one fourth the value of
a semibreve, one half that of a minim, and twice that of a quaver; a
quarter note. |

SHILLING |
The Spanish real, of the value of one eight of a dollar,
or 12/ cets; -- formerly so called in New York and some other States.
