CHEMISETTE |

A band which goes around the neck; often, the part at the

A garment, or part of a garment, which covers the body from
the neck or shoulders to the waist line. |

TIPPET |
A cape, or scarflike garment for covering the neck, or the
neck and shoulders, -- usually made of fur, cloth, or other warm
material. |

PICCADILLY |
A high, stiff collar for the neck; also, a hem or band
about the skirt of a garment, -- worn by men in the 17th century. |

CAPE |
A sleeveless garment or part of a garment, hanging from the
neck over the back, arms, and shoulders, but not reaching below the
hips. See Cloak. |

CLOAK |
A loose outer garment, extending from the neck downwards,
and commonly without sleeves. It is longer than a cape, and is worn
both by men and by women. |

DOUBLET |
A close-fitting garment for men, covering the body from
the neck to the waist or a little below. It was worn in Western Europe
from the 15th to the 17th century. |
