American monkeys. |

SIMIAN |
Of or pertaining to the family Simiadae, which, in its
widest sense, includes all the Old World apes and monkeys; also,
apelike. |

PLATYRHINI |
A division of monkeys, including the American
species, which have a broad nasal septum, thirty-six teeth, and usually

COCCYX |
The end of the vertebral column beyond the sacrum in man
and tailless monkeys. It is composed of several vertebrae more or less
consolidated. |

COAITA |
The native name of certain South American monkeys of the
genus Ateles, esp. A. paniscus. The black-faced coaita is Ateles ater.
